I like the rainbow brite décor. I like the asian fusion. I just don’t get why Stephen Starr wanted to combine them.
The servers will enthusiastically tell you, as you sit down, that Continental food is served family style, or ‘asian tapas’ as they call them.
The menu has dumplings, salads, fries, noodles and entrees, but they’re all listed together. I guess that’s supposed to make you feel like ordering tapas-style, but gives you the option of ordering your own meal as well.
We ordered a variety of dishes: spinach arugula salad with goat cheese and pinenuts ($9), pad thai with crabmeat ($12), lobster mac-n-cheese ($17), and miso glazed cod ($22).

The food reminded me definitely of Buddakan, although not as spectacular. But very similar flavors and ingredients. The outstanding dish of the evening was the miso-glazed cod, served with coconut mashed sweet potatoes and stirfried veggies (asparagus and mixed peppers).
We passed on dessert because we were already stuffed, but apparently dessert is served as small ‘tastes’ that are also meant to be shared.
